2023 Arts in Education Resolution

In May Governor Lee signed Senate Joint Resolution 970 and House Joint Resolution 540, both of which affirmed the importance of arts education for all Tennessee students. The resolution recognizes September 10-16, 2023 as “Arts in Education Week” in Tennessee. Support from the General Assembly was unanimous from all legislators in both chambers.

The Tennessee General Assembly has worked with ArtsEd Tennessee to support the Arts in Education resolution every year since 2019. We offer our sincere thanks to the legislators who sponsored this year’s resolution, Rep. Bob Freeman, Sen. Becky Massey, Sen. Jeff Yarbro, and Sen. Adam Lowe.
